Le National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration a ajouté sur son site une note destinée à ses employés, leurs familles et leurs amis. La page web précise que dans l’éventualité d’une évacuation vers un site alternatif, les employés sont invités à contacter le plus tôt possible le NOAA pour les aviser de la nouvelle relocalisation. Un numéro de téléphone gratuit est à la disposition des employés pour cette utilité précise. Des liens sont dirigés, dans la même page, vers des sites de préparation d’urgence.

Website Check-In: In addition to the toll-free number, employees and contractors can report their status via a website check-in system. The web based check in system should only be used by NOAA Employees or Contractors and is only monitored during an incident.
Toll-Free Call-In Number: ( 1-888-NOAA-911 or 1-888-662-2911): If you are directed or forced to evacuate your current location to an alternate site, please contact us as soon as possible to advise us that you are safe and with a means of contacting you. This toll free number can also be used by employees, their families, contractors and friends to report the whereabouts of another NOAA employee or contractor.
Information Website: To provide employees and contractors with relevant information during an emergency, the following web pages,http://www.homelandsecurity.noaa.gov and http://www.wfm.noaa.gov will be updated on a continual basis to ensure employees and contractors are able to get the information they need in a timely manner.
